We recently had a lovely family vacation at Hostal Excelsior in Madrid, and it turned out to be a convenient base for our adventures. The vibrant Gran Vía, just steps away, offered us a chance to catch some spectacular shows and enjoy family dinners at nearby restaurants. While the room was smaller than what we’re used to back home in Auckland, it was clean and well-maintained, with daily housekeeping that kept things tidy for our family. The helpful staff made our stay effortless, providing tips for exploring the city that we greatly appreciated. Although there’s no on-site dining, we found numerous eateries close by that catered to all tastes, making meals easy to sort. If you’re looking for a family-friendly spot in central Madrid, Hostal Excelsior is a solid choice for a short stay!
